Dentistry is the branch of medicine that deals with the teeth, gums, and mouth. Dentists diagnose and treat diseases of the oral cavity, as well as perform surgeries and other procedures to improve the health and appearance of the teeth and gums. In Jamaica, dentists are required to complete a four-year dental program at the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences.
